70s Fashion Making a Comeback in 2020

Here at Chloe James Lifestyle we've definitely been noticing 70s fashion creeping back into style... and we love it.

The 1970s was an era of fashion freedom, where all standard lines of style were blurred and people relished in the experimentation of expressive fashion.

Although notorious crimes against fashion were committed in the 70s, it is undisputed that it was a time of true iconic creative liberation.

I thought I would take you through a selection of some of our 70s style products that will help you be bang on trend this season.

1) Black Colour Tiered Skirt

Bohemian midi skirts were a huge trend in the Seventies and this gorgeous design captures the perfect boho hippie vibe. Simply wear with a cute cami or pair with a plain tee - it's an easy way to insert a bit of 70s style into your wardrobe.

2) Mos Mosh Bailey Rich Jeans

It can be hard to find the right wide leg jeans, and there are so many options out there that it can be daunting. But look no further, for we have found them. Not only are these a gorgeous fit, but they are so incredibly comfy you would never believe you're wearing denim. They have that gorgeous authentic 70s wide leg look and can be worn as a slouchy fit, but we recommend sizing down for a slightly more flattering fit. And let's not miss the super 1970's inspired double button fly... groovy.

3) Mos Mosh Kelsey Kick Flare

These are the ultimate 70s inspired flared jeans with a kick flare bottom with double frayed hem. They have a mid-waist fit and are super flattering. These are a personal favourite of mine and would look amazing with platform boots in true 1970s style.

4) Culture Noelle Wide Leg Jeans and Cropped Jacket

These extra-wide flare jeans give that authentic 1970s style and even more so when paired with our matching Noelle denim jacket for that double denim look. A gorgeous light cream denim with contrast stitching detail. Wear separately or even better together - don't worry, no one will be calling the fashion police on you in this outfit.

P.S. The picture definitely doesn't give the flare size on the trousers justice.

5) Hope and Ivy Amelie Dress

This dress is honestly what dreams are made of, I mean... look at it. The most gorgeous floral embroidery detailing, with V neck, button down skirt and slight puff cap sleeves. This is a true 70s inspired dress - it could be worn to a summer wedding/occasion or dressed down with trainers and a cute up-do, how versatile. Either way one things for sure, you're going to be looking sensational.

6) Black Colour Luna Leaf Maxi Dress

This dress is not only super comfortable, made from a lightweight silky fabric, but drapes so beautifully over the body when worn. The gentle tier style looks great cinched at the waist with a belt, or with a leather jacket over on those chilly summer nights. This gives us real Woodstock, easy bohemian fashion vibes. We have paired with some chunky platform boots and gold boho-style jewellery.

I could go on forever as I absolutely love seventies fashion, but I will stop before I bore anyone to death. If you want to view more of our 70s style selections then visit our Pinterest board.
